A section of the A90 northbound carriageway near Luthermuir is set to be resurfaced as works began on Tuesday 30th October and will last until Wednesday 7th of November.
The section of road between the Luthermuir B974 Junction and the Oatyhill Junction will be affected.
The overnight resurfacing works started on Tuesday 30 October and will take approximately six nights to complete. The project will take place between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night with all works expected to be completed by Wednesday morning on 7 November. No works will be conducted over the weekend.
To keep road workers and motorists safe during working hours, traffic management will be in place during the overnight project. From Wednesday 31 October to Tuesday 6 November, excluding the weekend, works will be carried out on the main northbound carriageway with a 10mph convoy in operation for safety during the overnight project.
There will be no traffic management in place over the weekend.
Commenting on the improvements, Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s North East Representative, said: “This £240,000investment from Transport Scotland will greatly improve this section of the A90 by removing existing carriageway defects, creating a smoother and safer journey for motorists.
“We’ve taken steps to minimise disruption for motorists as much as possible during the improvements, including carrying out the works overnight and removing all traffic management during the weekends to further limit any impact to motorists.
