Two bus services will launch in the coming week that will connect the Mearns and Kincardineshire to Aberdeen Airport.
Stagecoach Bluebird will launch their 747 and 757 bus routes on the 21st of January, introducing the first bus service to directly connect South Aberdeenshire to Aberdeen Airport.
The Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route has already slashed journey times between Stonehaven and the airport and with the introduction of these new services means travellers will be able to reach the airport from Stonehaven in just 31 minutes. An almost unthinkable travel time just 6 months ago.
Route 747 will collect passengers in both Montrose and Stonehaven before travelling to Aberdeen Airport via the Kingswells Park & Ride. A ticket will cost £5.95 one-way for an adult from Stonehaven.
Route 757 will cover North Kincardineshire and have passenger pickup points in Chapelton, Newtonhill and Portlethen before travelling to Aberdeen Aiport via the Kingwells and Craibstone Park & Ride. Both services will operate once an hour.
