BBC Scotland’s farming and countryside programme ‘Landward’ is set to visit Stonehaven to film scenes for an upcoming series.
Presenters Dougie Vipond and celebrity chef Nick Nairn will visit Stonehaven Harbour on the 29th of August, where they’ll be cooking up dishes using locally sourced ingredients. Members of the public are encouraged to visit the food van and watch dishes being cooked. There will also be a tasting session at some point during the day, although timings are yet to be confirmed.
The show, that originally started broadcasting in 1976, focuses on issues pertinent to rural communities. Additionally, the show features stories covering Scotland’s vast landscape, with various stories covering the wildlife and nature of the country.
The new series returns to TV on the 21st of September, it is likely that Stonehaven will feature in an episode this season.
