The Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs has elected it’s new North Regional Committee for 2018 – 19.
A meeting was held in Dingwell on the 14th of April where the election took place and individual clubs competed to be North Club of the year. Five clubs from across the region were competing for the title and gave Judges Allan Grant and Mary-Jo Grant a very difficult task on the day.
It was Mid Deeside club which emerged victorious and won the award. They also placed 2nd in participation award, which saw their membership increase by 27.59% from March 2017 to March 2018.
Mid Deeside Young Famers Club and second-placed Halkirk from the North Region will now go forward to National Final on Saturday 21st of April.
Michael Gunn (from Forss) was elected as North Chairman and Gemma Bruce (from Udny) was, elected as North Vice Chairman.
