The second phase of a project to standardise fees for halls and education lets managed by Aberdeenshire Council took effect from Wednesday, 1 August.
The new pricing structure has been in place since 2017 and many groups are already paying the revised charges.
But for long-term users whose fees varied across Aberdeenshire, a series of phased increases had been arranged to bring all groups in line with the updated pricing schedule.
Letters have been sent to user groups who have seen a change this year, which will involve a rise of no more than 50% of fees paid during the 2016/17 financial year.
Next year will see a rise of no more than 80% of the original fee, with all user groups across Aberdeenshire paying the same amount from 2020.
As the locally-agreed fees varied across Aberdeenshire, the specific changes for individual groups will therefore differ but none will pay anything above the new pricing schedule – and some will even pay less than before for certain bookings.
